Relics for future generations.
My recent body of work titled “Relics for future generations” uses paintings of figure groupings, that combine with text and installation elements, to create absurd icons of the modern world. Implicating us to consider our collective and individual susceptibility to manipulation by right-wing populist mis/disinformation, conspiracies, false narratives, “alternative facts”, half-truths and lies, as part of a conservative agenda to undermine progressive change at our peril. These works were recently exhibited at SOL Gallery Fitzroy from 26th of June to 7th July 2024. Images of recent artworks can also be seen on Instagram.
